Lotus Flower Small Bag
Take Dishie out of the kitchen (and out shopping!) with this knitted design for a small over-the-body bag featuring an intricate looking but very easy to knit stitch design that creates an interesting texture and color impression.
The design has an almost “Magic Eye” effect, and its clarity actually improves with distance!
Yarn choice is very important: this stitch requires a smooth low-pile yarn, and I have chosen to use Knit Picks’ Dishie, held double stranded. Also, high-contrast color choices accentuate the stitches that create the colorful design. Dishie’s durability and washability make it the perfect choice for this summer accessory.
Requires a full skein of main color “Blue”, 1/2 skein contrast color “Liac Mist”, and 1/2 skein of Swan, second contrast color.
As an added bonus, the interior of the bag has a pleasing appearance, too. In fact, except for the line of carried yarns along the side of the interior, the bag is reversible!
