Loulaki is the name of the blue powder used on the dome, roof and shutters of the famous whitewashed Greek homes of the Cyclades. The touch of blue I added to this project reminded me of Greece with this vibrant blue color.

This beautiful shawl combines the classic look of lace with a modern touch: abstract patches of garter stitch and an asymmetrical shape. This project will look great as a summer shawl with your favorite cotton yarn, or as a warm and comfy accessory, should you choose wool or mohair. The stitch pattern is easy to memorize.
