I designed this luscious little hat for a friend, who wanted something a little different to the usual range of baby hats. The pattern is clearly laid out with photographs and charts for the stylised bee pattern, small Fair Isle motifs and star crown. I have added a written pattern for the crown for those who find it easier when decreasing.
The bee motif is a 14 stitch repeat, it is not difficult but some experience of stranded colour work may be helpful.
‘Love Bees’ comes in 2 sizes 6-12 months and 1-2 years.
I used Rowan Felted Tweed and Alpaca merino wool mix, which is beautifully soft for an older baby or toddler and available in a fabulous range of colours which blend beautifully together. The pattern can be bought as a kit on: knittingjulesdesigns.folksy.com

You will need
Four colours of your choice of light DK yarn.
I used Rowan felted Tweed yarn in the following colours. The finished hat weighs 40, 45 grams once the ends are cut.
