Love Bug Mittens
These cute fingerless gloves are made in the round using a sock yarn and basic cable stitches. It is a versatile pattern which can be made longer or shorter depending on your preference.
The yardage needed is an estimate, but one ball of sock yarn will be more than enough to finish this project (and I can sometimes squeeze a pair of these AND a pair of socks out of a good-sized skein).
Please note, these gloves are on the small side. I am working on a version which includes a larger option!
-Version 2.0-
The major change in version 2.0 is that the heart panel has been shifted slightly so that it sits more in the centre of the hand. Otherwise, I have just tried to make the pattern more readable and included a cable chart.
On a personal note, I just wanted to say that I have been so flattered, humbled, and excited by the responses I have received to this pattern. I am a total self-taught amateur, so I appreciate how kind everyone has been when reaching out to me and reviewing the pattern. This was my first real try and pattern-writing, so a huge thank you to the wonderful Ravely community for being so encouraging. I will definitely be making more free patterns when I have the time <3
- A big thank you to the anonymous knitter who translated the original pattern into Korean!
