Love is Love hoodie
Please be sure that you’re using version 1.1 (it will be on the footer of every page)
In honor of Pride, celebrated annually in June on the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in 1969, this fingering weight hoodie incorporates the six colors of the Gay Pride Flag. Mitered corners add interest to this casual silhouette. Chart is included to add a secret rainbow heart (intarsia) at the back of the neck that can only be seen when the hood is up. Worn open, seamless pockets make this a useful garment that you’ll reach for again and again. If rainbows aren’t your thing, accent a neutral color body with stripes of your Alma Mater, favorite sports team, or even your Hogwarts House colors. This is sure to become a sweater that you love. Because love is love is love is love. You get the picture!
To share the Love, half of all proceeds will be donated to Rainbow Families in Washington, DC to support the amazing work they do in proving that love is love every single day for LGBTQ parents and their children. www.rainbowfamiliesdc.org
CONSTRUCTION
Body is knit flat from the bottom up and then split for armholes. A 3-needle-bind-off at the shoulder gives strength to carry the weight of the garment. Short rows seamlessly shape the sleeve cap. Sleeves are knit top-down in the round with extra-long ribbed cuffs with a thumb slit for a modern athletic look. Hood reveals a hidden heart at the back of the neck. Add a zipper for a true hoodie look or wear open for a more casual feel.

A gradient set (six mini 95 yd skeins) of these exact colors are available at https://www.dragonflyfibers.com/product/rainbow-dragon-so... and since this pattern only uses about a third of each color, may I suggest the My Rainbow Heart or the Heart Head for the rest!
SIZING
Hoodie is designed with zero ease for a sporty slim fit. Choose the size for your true high chest measurement (under your armpits and above the breasts) to get the best fit in the shoulders.
XS=30”/71cm, SM=32”/81cm, MD=36”/91cm, (LG=40”/102cm, XL=44”/112cm, 2X=48”/122cm, 3X=52”/132cm).
Caution: choosing a size with too much ease will be ill-fitting in the shoulders and look baggy. Knitted fabric is very forgiving, so zero ease will actually be quite slimming. No waist shaping gives this a casual sporty silhouette; therefore torso length is easily customizable before you split for the armholes. Sleeves are designed with extra long cuffs but can be shortened if desired. Either would change yardage requirements.
SKILLS USED
Stranded 2 color knitting, intarsia, decreases, increases, short rows, 3-needle-bind off, 3-needle-join, grafting/kitchener stitch. Pattern includes links to recommended video tutorials for Tubular Cast On, Grafting, and winding Hand Bobbins.
