The Love Note hat is made up with cables crossing throughout the body of the hat, paired with knit stitches through the back loop for a pop of extra detail on a purled background. The pattern works best with solid, solid with speckling, or tonal yarns as the stitch definition will be lost with more variegated colouring. The pattern has written instructions along with a chart that accompanies all parts of the hat, to suit whichever way you prefer to follow your knitting patterns. With a total of 16 different stitches utilized, this is a great pattern for the knitter who is looking for something slightly more intensive.

The Love Note hat is worked brim-up in the round on double-pointed needles or a 40cm / 16” circular needle.

Instructions are for a 112-stitch circumference brim, and the hat is knit in this order: Brim, Body, Crown.
