Who doesn’t love owls? The Love of Owls Hat is a fun and cute beanie hat that you will enjoy making as part of your fall and winter projects!

The hat has 7 adorable cable stitch owls around it and there are links to You Tube video tutorials, that I created for the pattern, to help guide you in making the cable stitches for the owls.

This pattern is recommended for crocheters who are comfortable and familiar with post stitches and cable stitches however; the videos and some of the photos included within the pattern can greatly assist in completing the hat.

You will require two crochet hooks for this project, an E (3.5mmm) and a G (4.00mm) Hook.

It is highly recommended that Red Heart Soft or Caron Simply Soft yarns be used for this project as these have been tested to work best with this pattern for sizing and ease of use with the E Hook. If using the correct gauge outlined in the pattern, you should only require one ball/skein of yarn to make this project.

If you choose to adorn your hat with buttons for the owl’s eyes, you will need to use 1/4” buttons, larger buttons will not suit the size of the owls made within the hat.

A pom pom can be added, the trendy faux fur poms would look great with this hat.
