Spring is in the air, and the melting snow reveals the first signs. The yellow grass and dark soil that still blanket the hills behind her home will soon be replaced by the vibrant green of new grass. She eagerly anticipates and plans her garden for the coming season.

Kudos to Theresia58 who knitted this shawl in many different colors (second photo). I think it is even prettier than the original version. Thank you Theresia!

Length: 84” / 213cm;
Depth: 36” / 91cm

Materials
Yarn:
Malabrigo Sock (Pure Superwash Merino Wool; 3.5oz, 440 yds per skein), or any fingering-weight yarn, 4 colors, 1,382 yds total

Approximate yardage:
MC (Arbol) - 42g or 185 yds
CC1 (Natural) - 130g or 572 yds
CC2 (Ochre) - 60g or 264 yds
CC3 (Arco Iris) - 82g or 361 yds
Please note that the yarn used is a light fingering weight. Substituting a fingering
(4-ply) yarn will likely require more yardage.

Needles:
US 3 (3.25mm) circular, 32” (80cm) or longer
Adjust needle size as needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge:
22 sts and 32 rows = 4” (10cm) in garter stitch

Supplies:
2 stitch markers, yarn needle, blocking wires (optional), rustproof pins for blocking

Skill Level: Intermediate
Basic knitting skills, garter stitch, simple color changes, picking up stitches, short rows
