A Shawlette for him or her

Sitting on the edge of a cliff, he stares across the endless waves longing for her caress. The shawlette draped around his neck was made by her and reminds him that she too is longing for his touch.

Your choice of color will determine how feminine or masculine the shawl will be. As in Love Potion No. 2, this shawl features some lace for her, yet maintains a structure that is not too frilly for him. The use of short rows create an edge reminiscent of the ocean waves that separate them.

Materials
Yarn: His version was knit using 1 Crazy Zauberball, color Herbswind. Her version was knit using 1 Zauberball color Fuchsienbeet, 100g, 460 yards (420 meters). Actual yardage used for his version 87g or 410 yards, for her version 82g or 380 yards.

Gauge: 22sts and 32 rows = 4” (10cm) in Stockinette stitch.

Needles: Circular #5 US/3.75mm, 32” or 40” length.

Misc: 24 stitch markers, 48” waste yarn for lifeline, tapestry needle, blocking wire (optional), plenty of rust proof pins for blocking.
