A shawl for him or her

Sitting on the window bench in their beautiful little Craftsman cottage, she stares out past the colorful window panes, and wishes he was sitting beside her. She decides to knit him a shawl, reminiscent of her favorite window seat, to remind him that she is waiting for his return.
Love Potion No. 6 is designed to use many different colors of leftover fingering weight yarns. You can choose a combination of shades in one color, or many different colors. No matter what you decide, the result will surely end in a stunning project.
Skill Level: Intermediate
Basic knitting skills, garter stitch, knitting in the round, simple color changes, left- and right-leaning increases, picking up stitches, short rows.

Yarn
Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light (100% Merino; 3.5oz/100g, 420yds/384m per skein), or any fingering weight yarn: 6 or more colors, 960 yds total

Gauge
22sts and 32 rows = 4” (10cm) in garter stitch or size to obtain gauge
Needles
US 5 (3.75mm) circular, one 16” or 24” and one 32” (80cm) or longer, US 5 (3.75mm) DPN’s (optional).
Supplies
Stitch markers (7 of one color and 1 of different color), yarn or tapestry needle, blocking wires (optional), rust proof pins for blocking
