Nothing screams Valentines day quite like hearts in pink and red! Something about the classic colors brings me back to grade school with candy hearts and chocolate kisses. This was a super fun pattern made top down stranded color work style. For my yarn weight I used DK. I am in love with the combination of the pastel and bright colors and how the overall garment turned out.

For my color work patterns I try to do “knit by color” where in each chart you knit the corresponding color to get the final pattern. I have found this to be the easiest (and most fun!) way to go about knitting a pattern up.

For this you will need
US 5 circular needles (any length is fine)
US 7 circular needles
Yarn In 4 colors according to yard chart (located in pictures)
Embroidery needle for tucking in tails

I personally used long long loooong US 7 circular needles so I could try on my piece as I went, but scrap yarn works just as well!
