Lovely Day Scarf features four colors of symmetrical stripes, complemented with a background of diagonal texture, and a garter border. Sometimes color, texture and yarn just come together ~ meet Lovely Day! I was looking for a fun and meditative knit and this design just flew on my needles.

Brooklyn Tweed Tones Light captures the stitch definition beautifully and I love the color play! The finished accessory is just the perfect weight for styling with a sweater or jacket.

Difficulty/Skills Required: Beginner.
Long tail cast on, Knit, Purl, Blocking, Weaving in ends.

Needle Size: US 6 / 4.0 mm 24” / 61 cm circular needle, or needle size to get gauge.

Gauge:
Diagonal Texture: 24 sts and 33 rows = 4” / 10 cm.
Gauge isn’t crucial, as it’s a scarf, but being off-gauge may affect the finished size of your scarf and the yardage required.
