The sample blanket used Hobbii Amigo 100% acrylic yarn in Black as Main Color. 11 balls, 191 yards/175 m per 50-gram ball.

and Lion Brand Mandala 100% acrylic yarn in the Gnome colorway as the Contrast Color yarns. Half each of 2 bonus bundles, 1,181 yards/1,080 m per 300-gram cake. Save the blues, greens, and dusty purple from the Gnome cakes for another project.

Hook: 4 mm (US G)

The whole blanket is double crochet stitches in US terms. Each section of color is worked from its own ball of yarn. The skill level is intermediate because it can be tricky to manage several small balls of yarn at once in each row.

A chart is included on the last page of the pattern. Each square of the chart represents 2 double crochet stitches.
