With just one skein of a yummy lace weight yarn, you can create this soft and elegant cowl. Even though it looks like a lacy bit of froth, it is wide enough to keep a draft off of your neck and shoulders, and long enough to pull up over your head on extra blustery days.

This cowl is worked in the round from the bottom up. The pattern is fully written out and charted (chart reading is not required). Although every row has patterning, the stitches are not complicated, just a pleasing combination of knits, purls, yarn overs, knit 2 togethers, and slip, slip knits.
