Low Tide Shawl
I sooo enjoyed making these shawls. The garter area contains the decreases, increases, and short rows for the overall shaping.
The lovely deep lace edging is an Estonian border called “Print o’ the Waves”. It’s not a difficult lace to accomplish, as long as you are not a beginner knitter.
The pattern is many pages, as every single row is written out for you, along with st count. There are several photographs, including close ups of the lace. The small size uses about 600 yards of fingering weight (Taiyo Sock and size US 6 needles), measures about 9.5” wide to about 13” wide and about 56” long at inner edge. The large size uses about 800 yards of dk weight (Tosh DK and size US 8 needles), measures about 12” wide to about 16.5” wide and about 62” long at inner edge.
Wear this a myriad of ways and enjoy the compliments!
