These legwarmers look great worn with high heels as short row shaping is used in the lower rib creating a curve which hugs around the back of the foot.

They’re knitted flat on straight needles because the Argyle pattern is worked using the intarsia technique and the yarn is used doubled which produces both a chunkier weight fabric and a more blurred colour effect. Additional instructions are given just in case you prefer them with a regular rib for wearing with flats.

In either case, use a bright accent colour to work the running stitch crosses after knitting.

Finished legwarmers are one size to fit average size ladies’ leg, length is 37 cm ( 14 ½ in ) from cast on mid cast on edge to mid cast off edge
