Lucente Stella
This shawl is designed in the classic Elizabeth Zimmerman “Pie Are Square” shape using lace motifs from the Shetland tradition. The result is a fetching, light and airy small cape or pelerine. It is worn easily over the shoulders, with two triangular panels draping to the front, and lends a romantic touch to any clothing style, elegant or casual.
The level of skill required is intermediate, with lace experience.
Lace patterns are charted only.
Gauge is irrelevant.
For an edging in a contrasting color, the amounts are approximately:
main body 1100m, edging 450m.
