The Lucia Hat is lacy and close-fitting. It is knit in the round with an easy lace pattern perfect for beginner knitters but interesting enough for more advanced knitters too. It comes in 5 sizes from newborn to adult.

SIZING
Finished measurements:
Circumference: 12”, 14.5”, 16.75”, 19.25”, 21.5”
Hat height: 5.5”, 6”, 6.5”, 7 or 8.25”, 10”
To fit sizes: 0-6 months, 6-12 months, Toddler, Child/Teen, Adult
::When choosing a size to knit, choose the size with a circumference approximately 2 to 2.5” smaller than your head measurement.
::For the child/teen size, note there are 2 hat heights. The first is for younger children. The second is for teens. This size also fits some adults with smaller heads.

MATERIALS
Yarn: worsted weight yarn
50 (60, 90, 140, 150) yards
Needles:
::size 5 (3.75mm) and size 7 (4.5mm) 16” circular needles (or size necessary to obtain gauge)
::set of size 7 dpn’s for top of hat, or 32” circular needle for magic looping
Other: stitch markers.

GAUGE
20 stitches and 28 rows = 4” on the larger needles in stockinette stitch
