Lucinda Cardigan
Lucinda is a simple cardigan knitted from the top down with raglan increases, ¾-length sleeves, and raw edges.
The cardigan is knitted in Handdyed Bulky Bubbles, a unique yarn quality filled with lots of bubbles.
The yarn gives the cardigan a fantastic texture with a hand-spun look.
The cardigan can be worn with either the right or wrong side facing out, depending on the preferred expression.
The Lucinda cardigan starts at the neckline, where increases are made at the beginning and end of the row to shape the neckline, while raglan increases are also made to shape the shoulders.
Once the neck and shoulders are shaped, the work is divided into body and sleeves. The stitches for the sleeves are placed on a stitch holder, and the front and back pieces are joined while casting on stitches for the armholes. The body is then knitted in one piece.
The sleeves are knitted in the round with gradual decreases.
