Luckiest-Baby-in-the-World’s Blanket
Crochet PATTERN for a beautiful, timeless and reversible heirloom baby blanket / receiving blanket.
Made using 18 different colors of Sirdar Snuggly Baby Bamboo DK - 50 grams for 12 colors and 100 grams for 6 colors. Specific color names are outlined in the pattern.
This special blanket consists of 1,087 little flowers! It is a labor of love that will showcase your crochet skills and surely become a family heirloom. It is perfect for a special occasion like a christening or baby shower, and it will look STUNNING in any nursery or in any crib.
This is an INTERMEDIATE / ADVANCED pattern. The flowers are join-as-you-go and consist of chain and slip stitches worked in the round. The pattern combines 18 different, but complimentary colors. The colors for each row are specified in the instructions; however, the placement of those colors within each row is entirely random. Detailed instructions also include an anchoring technique, that will help with sewing in all those loose ends. In addition, instructions include the option to add a lining to your blanket.
This pattern has been tested for clarity and accuracy by a professional crochet designer. It contains many step-by-step how-to photos. I would like to mention, again, that this is an intermediate / advanced crochet pattern. It is well written, but it does require skill. It would not be suitable for a novice crocheter.
Thank you so much for checking out my cheery little baby blanket!
