Lucky 13 Shawlette
While many consider the number 13 to be bad luck, those in our family consider it to be very lucky! My daughter Molly, step-Dad, and great-grandmother (who taught me to knit) were all born on April 13th, so in honor of this special day, I’ve designed a sideways shawlette featuring the “Molly’s Lace” knitted edging.
The shawlette is written for 4 different weights of yarn and can be completely personailzed to create a shawlette with the depth and length you prefer! The pattern calls for 420 yards of fingering weight on size 4 needles, 360 yards of sport-weight on size 6 needles, 310 yards of dk weight on size 7 needles, or 260 yds of worsted on size 8 needles yielding shawlettes ranging from 5-8 feet in length!
