This Lucky Cat pattern is inspired by a keychain bell. It it a mix of Maneki Neko, the bringer of good fortune, and Daruma doll granting wishes.

Size of the amigurumi from Sport weight yarn: about 6 cm tall.
Size of the amigurumi from Superfine yarn: about 3.5 cm tall.

Materials needed:
About 10-15 meters of yellow (red or any bright color for the body) yarn;
Very little amount of white/off-white yarn for face;
Black embroidery or sewing thread for facial features;
Gold metallic embroidery thread or lame yarn for decor on the body.

Seamless color change technique is used. For the neat finish the color changes are concealed by crocheted lining.
Surface crochet technique is used for paws and face lining, though an alternative to crochet paws separately is also given.

I don’t recommend making the cat from yarn lighter than superfine, in this case embroidery will be too diffucult.
