Lucky Cluster Cushion
Traditional granny square technique is used to make this cushion. Use colours that delight you in DK weight yarn and have fun with the pom-pom trim.
This pattern includes written instructions in UK crochet terminology.
It’s suitable for beginners.
To fit a 41cm (16”) cushion pad. Small amounts of toy stuffing needed for the pom-poms and 6 x 15mm buttons.
Gauge is determined at round 5 of granny square, at this stage the square should measure 11cm x 11cm. If it’s bigger than this start again using a smaller hook. If it’s smaller than 11cm squared start again using a bigger hook.
The design uses 4 different colours of Novita Knits Wool Cotton (112m per 50g ball) Putty (402), Powder (602), Saffron (285) and Off White (010). Of course you can use any colours you want, and as many colours as you want - it would make a perfect ‘scrap yarn’ project.
I used 2 x 50g balls of each colour and had approx. 25g of each colour left over.
