“Kelly” refers to the colour “Kelly Green”, named for the common Irish last name, and evoking daydreams of the lush green hillsides of Ireland. I saw them for myself when I travelled there in 2013 and took a train from County Cork to Dublin. The peaceful quietness that I remember of Ireland is punctuated by the pleasant joyfulness of everyone we encountered, making even the biggest city feel like a small, hometown.

I hope the Lucky Kelly Hat evokes the same feelings for you: joy, serenity, fun, and as a bonus, a little extra luck.

Baby 35 17
Toddler 40 20

NEEDLES:
US 13 / 9 mm, 16” circular needles
US 15 / 10 mm, 16” circular needles & DPNs or size needed to obtain gauge
Myself, and fellow tight knitters, will likely find the charts true to
size. However if you are a looser knitter, you may find it helpful to go down to size 11 (8mm) needles for the brim and size 13 (9mm) for the body (with the exception of the newborn size, where you may choose to use size 13 throughout).

NOTIONS:
Tapestry Needle, stitch marker, scissors, pom pom (optional)
