Lucky Penny Cowlette
A fun new twist on my original Shiny Penny Cowl — the Lucky Penny Cowlette is a quick, reversible, bandana-style cowl, that’s perfect for stashbusting. And whether you’re inside with an overzealous AC or out-and-about in the cool Summer night air, it’s a great light-weight knit that’s just cozy enough to keep the chill away.
Pattern Tips:
-
The first portion of this pattern is worked flat. When prompted, join and work the rest of the pattern in-the-round.
-
Techniques to know when working this pattern include an ability to knit flat and in-the-round, YO, K2tog, SSK, and M1 while knitting and purling.
-

1 skein of Meeker Street, Wagging Tails Pet Boutique in Moscow Mule 74% baby suri alpaca + 26% silk 328 yds / 300 m, 1.75 oz / 50 g

Optional modification:
As written, portions of this pattern are worked by holding lace- and fingering-weight yarns together, resulting in a dk-weight gauge. An easy way to modify this pattern (if no lace-weight yarn is available), is to knit it with fingering yarn only.
If you choose to modify in this manner, substitute the US 9 — 5.5 mm needles for US 7 — 4.5 mm needles.
