Finished chest (fullest point) circumference: 90 (108, 126, 144, 162)cm / 35½ (42½, 49½, 56½, 63½)“ – to be worn with up to 10cm / 4” positive ease
Sarah’s height is 160cm / 5’ 3” with a chest (fullest point) circumference of 81cm / 32”, and is shown wearing a size 1.
Yarn: Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift (fingering / 4-ply-weight; 100% Shetland wool; 105m / 115yds per 25g ball)
Shades:
Yarn A: Eesit (105); 7 (8, 9, 10, 11) balls
Yarn B: 1 ball each of Poppy (524), Mogit (107), Steel (320), Oxford (123), Coral (540), Eucalyptus (794), Lavender (617), Lagoon (660) and Daffodil (390).
Yarn A: Approx. 650 (750, 850, 950, 1050)m / 709 (818, 927, 1036, 1145)yds of fingering / 4-ply-weight yarn
Yarn B: A combined total of approx. 300 (460, 550, 750, 850)m / 327 (501, 600, 818, 927)yds of fingering / 4-ply-weight yarn, made up of different shades
Gauge: 22 sts & 30 rows = 10cm / 4” over St st on 3.75mm needles, after blocking.
Needles: 3.75mm / US 5 knitting needles AND knitting needles suitable for working small circumferences in the round
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
Notions: 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle.
Notes: Lucky Pieces is worked from the bottom up with the entrelac technique, which consists of triangular and rectangular motifs. The lower body is worked in one piece from the bottom up beginning with a row of base triangles worked left to right. The next tier is worked right to left, and is made up of a RH corner triangle, a row of RS rectangles, and a LH corner triangle. On the following tier, WS rectangles are worked from left to right. The front and back are separated at the underarm. Sts are picked up around the armhole, bottom and front for bands.
