Lucky Pig
by Simone H.
In my home country Austria (and other German-speaking countries) it is a New Year’s Eve tradition to give small lucky charms to your loved ones: Four leaved clovers, toadstools, chimney sweeps, horse shoes and – last but not least – pigs are considered as signs of good luck for the upcoming year. Often, they are made of marzipan. But you can easily make your own little lucky pig out of yarn following the instructions of this simple pattern.
The pattern for the four leaved clover used in the picture was created by Patricia Eggen (www.creatingeverlaughter.com) and can be found here.
