This is a crochet pinafore dress for ages 0-10 years. It can be worn with or without a top underneath.

The unique rainbow rectangular front panel is crocheted first, and then the rest of the bodice is crocheted on sideways. The skirt is then added top down onto the bodice, using a large hook for added drape.

Two buttons are needed to close the straps at the top.

Cotton yarn is suggested for a breathable summer dress, but blends of cotton with bamboo or acrylic could be used.
