Let me tell you some words about our new hero. The squirrel is crocheted only with a hook. I used the unusual yarn Lotus Grass Stretch (Camtex), which creates the effect of natural wool after brushing. You can use a double thread of mohair instead of Camtex. The toy is made by using the wireframe, and it can move the parts of the body, bend fingers, arms, legs, and tail. It can stand by itself and hold light objects.
It has a cheerful and tricky nature, so beware because it can shoot a pinecone at you! I am sure that it will look alive once you finish crocheting it .
In this pattern, we will learn how to:
- crochet the squirrel toy;
- make the simplest wireframe;
- tint;
- fluff the toy;
- crochet the vest with the patches;
- crochet the pine cone. The crochet pattern consists of 48 pages accompanied by 140 photographs. The finished product using the materials stated in this pattern is ~15.3 ″ / 39 cm tall (including the tassels on the ears).
