Lucy includes several different fun lace motifs to keep things interesting, beginning with a fun circular design, branching into a pineapple star motif, and then expanding quickly with a lace mesh. Jasmine chain puffs bring things back together before attachment to the hoop.

This design was created for my wonderful local yarn shop, A Little Knitty, for the 2022 PNW (Pacific Northwest) Yarn Crawl.

You’ll need 1 skein of fingering weight yarn (approx 400y), a size F 3.75mm crochet hook, and a 28” floral hoop. I ordered my hoop on Amazon, but you can sometimes find them in craft stores. You can also sometimes find small hula hoops this size that can work (maybe with the help of a little spray paint!).

The pattern includes written instructions, partial charts (a full chart through round 6, and a partial wedge chart through round 18). I have also included in progress photos and a full video tutorial. The rows in the written pattern are timestamped so that you can easily reference that section of the video!
