Luddig
Luddig is a triangular shawl that is worked top down.
This shawl uses 6 increases by every two rows. The result is a wider, a little bit rounded, shallower triangle with extra length for wrapping around your neck.
It is a simple shawl pattern that can be worked in many sizes and different yarn weights. By simply adding more repeats of the lace sections, you can make this shawl as large as you wish. Note that yardage requirements will be different for different yarn weights and sizes.
The shawl is knitted in Silke Val Gardena Silke by Arvier, fuzzy gradient yarn which gives a fabulous drape.
But you can use any gradient yarn, or yarn in two or three different colours together with some kind of mohair.
There is the second sample in this pattern made with Drops Alpaca in two different colours and Kid silk in two different colours as well. You can mix and match colours as you like.
