About the pattern
The work starts with the back piece, which is knitted back and forth down to the armholes. Then stitches are picked up along the cast-on edge for the front pieces. The front pieces are knitted separately down to the armhole while also knitting the button band. After that, the back piece and front pieces are joined on a circular needle, and knitting continues back and forth while creating buttonholes every 14 rounds along the button band on the right front piece,

The work is then joined by knitting the button bands together.

The work is eventually divided into two legs, which are knitted separately. The sleeves are picked up along the edge and knitted in the round using a small circular needle or magic loop method. Finally, stitches are picked up for the ribbing at the neckline.
