Lue - samisk inspirasjon
The Hat is inspirated by a traditional Sami pattern used at knited Mittens from Tana. Kirsti-Synnøve Suongir has made a lot of this traditional Sami patterns known by her book “Samevotter fra Tanadalen”.
I started trying out the pattern in a black and white edition at a Headband. The Headband has now grown to a Hat, and also a new design for Socks.
Colorcombination used this time are more traditional Norwegian. And I still hope that I have not broken the ethnic tradition too much.
For this pattern - thanks to Jay for beeing a model, and thanks to Ida for photos.
