Luke’s Fisherman Sweater
Sizes: 3-4 (5-6) 7-8 (9-10) 11-12 year old
Chest plus ease: 70 (75) 80 (85) 90 cm
Back length: 40 (43) 46 (49) 51 cm
Sleeve length: 42 (45) 48 (51) 54
Needles: 1 pair 4 mm (US 6) and 4.5 mm (US 7) strait single pointed needles. One 3 .5 mm circular needle 40 cm. One tapestry needle bent point and a measuring tape in centimeters.
Gauge: 19 st x 27 rows = 10 x 10 cm on 4.5 mm needle.
Materials:
- Alpaca Warehouse 100% Baby Alpaca, 50g (1.760z)/109yds, (100m), DK, Light Worsted, www.alpaca4less.com (The company ships worldwide). Usage Approx. 5 (5) 6 (7) skeins of 50 gr.
(You could also use Drops PUNA, 100% Alpaca Yarn Group: B (20 - 22 stitches) /8 ply/DK/ worsted Weight/yardage: 1.8 oz (50 g) = approx 120 yds (110 m).
Held together with:
- Filcolana Tilia 70% Mohair, 30% Silk, Yarn Group: Lace, 25g (210m - 230yds / 0.9oz).
This sweater is inspired by traditional Dutch Fisherman Sweaters, it is knitted from bottom up and it has 4 panels that will be sewn together with the blanket stitch. To finish the sweater you will pick up stitches at the neck line to knit the collar. Each pattern size has its customized pattern parts (on graph paper) to fit its front, back and sleeve panels.
