Lulu the Love Cat is quite protective of her heart. She likes to keep it close, hugging it tightly. She’s very picky about who she allows near her. But every once in a while, she finds another kitty worth sharing it with. If you’re nice, she might even share her heart with you this Valentine’s Day!

This 10-page crochet pattern contains all of the instructions and photos you will need in order to create your own cat (or cats) and heart. There is also an additional 5-page printer-friendly version of the pattern included. This pattern has been thoroughly tested and proofread to be easy to follow. You are welcome to sell finished objects made from this pattern.

Skill-level: Late Beginner

The recommended yarn/hook combo will result in a project ~6 in/15 cm long. However, feel free to use your preferred yarn/hook combo. Using a thicker yarn will result in a larger finished project. Basic crochet techniques and stitches (magic ring, single crochet, increase, invisible decrease) are used in this pattern. Instructions are provided for face shaping and the invisible finish.

Materials:
Yarn: Cotton sport (#2) weight yarn or yarn of your choice (~121 yd/110 m)
Hook: 2.75mm or the appropriate hook for your yarn
Toy stuffing
Safety eyes: 10 mm or the appropriate size for your yarn
Embroidery thread: Black
Stitch markers
Yarn needle
Scissors
