Lumberjill Mittens
Introducing my latest mitten design: the Lumberjill Mittens! With their lace cuff and 2 plaid patterns, these mittens bear both beauty and brute—just like a lumberjill (which is a real profession, if you’re interested in doing some Wikipedia searching). Sometimes you just need more plaid in your wardrobe, and these are the perfect addition.
Skills required: stranded colorwork, knitting in the round, increasing and decreasing, Afterthought Method
This pattern is not written for one particular method of circular knitting--choose your favorite to knit up this plaid-i-licious mitts!
Gauge is more important than needle size. Depending on your tension, you may need to play around with sizes to achieve the correct gauge.
Note: The featured photos are knit with 3 colors, though the pattern only requires two. As with any pattern you can vary your colors any way you choose!
I hope you enjoy this pattern--and the holidays! God Bless!
