Inspired by my family tradition of hanging fairy lights at home
to welcome Christmas,
Lumina, which means “light” in Latin,
captures the warmth and twinkling charm of lights
and a relaxing atmosphere
that embodies the joy of Christmas.

Designed by Yamagara in collaboration with Qing Fibre for Advent 2024.

The pattern is exclusive to the advent until the end of Jan 2025, and will be available on Ravelry and yamagaraknits.com from February 2025.

YARN

One set of Qing Fibre Merino Fingering Mini and other special yarns.
Yarns are provided in the advent kit.

NEEDLES

One 3.25 mm / US 3, 40 cm / 16” circular needle
One 3.5 mm / US 4, 40 cm / 16” circular needle
Two 4 mm / US 6, 40 cm / 16” or longer circular needles
One spare 4 mm US 6 needle for 3-needle bind off

NOTES

Lumina Scarf is firstly worked flat lengthwise before joining the work to form a tube. The scarf is then worked in the round, blending transitions in colourways. Lastly, knitted ornaments (video tutorial is provided) are sewn onto the scarf.
