Luna is a summer cowl knitted in silk, linen and merino. I just need to have a cowl to cover my neck from the warm summer breeze and the air conditioning.

It is a cowl but you can decide to wear it like a scarf, which means you don’t have to sew it at the end. You can also modify the length because of the same repetition of two sections; you can make it shorter or longer.

Have fun playing with colors and stitches.

The cowl is knitted in a rectangle the wrong side being the first row knitted that you see all along the pattern. It is shaped as a long rectangle so it could be used as a scarf. It uses two similar techniques to shape the cowl. An edge is added as you knit to give some structure and weight.

Luna est un col d’été; il est tricoté avec de la soie, du lin et du mérinos. J’avais besoin d’un col pour protéger mon cou de la fraîche brise d’été et aussi de l’air climatisée.

C’est un col que vous pourriez décider de transformer en foulard si vous ne cousez pas les deux bouts à la fin. Vous pourriez aussi modifier la longueur à cause de la répétition des deux sections; vous pourriez le faire plus court ou plus long.

Amusez-vous avec les couleurs et les motifs.

Le col est tricoté en un seul morceau, le mauvais côté étant votre premier rang vous faisant face tout au long du tricot. C’est un long rectangle donc il peut être transformé en foulard s’il n’est pas cousu à la fin. Deux techniques similaires sont utilisées pour former le col. Une bordure est tricotée au fur et à mesure pour donner un peu de structure et de poids.
