NOTE: This pattern assumes you will have some knowledge of the basic stitches and is therefore not suited to an ‘absolute’ beginner who has never crocheted before.
This pattern has been tested.

This pattern is written using US terminology.

The doll is worked in Continuous Rounds.

The clothes are worked in Joined Rounds.

Gauge is not important for this pattern – just make sure you are using a hook a size or 2 smaller than recommended for the yarn weight you have chosen, to ensure that you don’t end up with unsightly gaps or holes in your work that could also be potentially dangerous to children and keep the tension nice and tight for the body.

Use the same size hook for both the doll and the clothing unless specified.
IMPORTANT – When making the clothes, try them on the doll periodically to make sure they fit. If they are too small, consider re-making them going up a hook size or two.

TIP – Some people employ the ‘Yarn Under’ method for Amigurumi, which is even more effective at reducing gaps. There are plenty of tutorials online and on YouTube in how to accomplish this if you are interested. Personally, I tend to employ a combination ‘Yarn Over, Yarn Under’ method for each stitch, but that is purely down to personal preference.

Thank you & happy crocheting!
