The Luna Pants are a versatile and adorable garment designed for children, from newborns to 2 years old. It has a simple construction, ideal for beginners but still offers that extra flare with the waist ruffle and folded hem. Comfortable and perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any outfit. This combines with the Luna Sweater and Cardi from my ravelry store as well. You can get both patterns on the Luna Set
Available in sizes from NewBorn to 2 years, it offers a comfortable fit with extra length to unfold as the kid grows.
The pattern includes sizes: Newborn, 1-3, 3-6, 6-12, 12-18, 18-24 months. Waist circumference of 37, 40, 44, 46, 50, 54 cm 14.75, 15.75, 17.50, 18.25, 19.75, 21.50 Inches
See complete measures of the garment in the images.
Luna Pants are made from the top down in the round. First, knit the double waistband and fold it. Then, add short rows to shape the back. After that, increases for the crotch are worked and the legs are splitted, knitting each leg in the round. Finally, add the waist ruffle and bow.
I design my children’s patterns with extra length and foldable hems, so you can simply unfold them as the child grows. This way, the garment fits for longer, reduces waste, and supports a more sustainable approach. Since hand-knitted items take so much time to create, I believe they should be worn and enjoyed for as long as possible!
