Luna Poppy
My newest granddaughter is due today! My daughter asked me to design and knit some cardigans for her; so I came up with this simple circular yoke style for a quick and seamless construction. It was originally just going to be a short style, but I got carried away and decided to shape it into an A-line style as well. The chest sizes are measured over basic clothing such as a vest and baby-grow.
She doesn’t know how big the baby will be, so I have knitted some quite small ones ( I said you can donate the smallest sized ones to the hospital if they’re to small for her ) as some larger ones for a few months growing room. I’ve made them in lots of colours and deliberately avoided pink ( I hope she likes my colour choices! )
The pattern could be adapted for boys by working the short style with closed increases and putting the buttons on the opposite side.
I hope you will like this pattern, and as always if there are any problems, please let me know. Happy knitting :D
