How did this crochet moon come to be? For my “Regulate Your Universe” play set I wanted to design an amigurumi crescent moon that didn’t look like a banana! Thus, Luna was born. You can find out more about Luna and her story here.
At about 2.5” in diameter Luna is a small size a perfect worry toy for little hands to squish.
To complete this pattern you will need:
- DK weight yarn in white and grey.
- Size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook
- 9mm black safety eyes
- Polyester (or other) stuffing
- Yarn needle
Most of this pattern is straightforward: single crochet and increases. The long strand colour changes can be a little fiddly but there is a detailed photo tutorial to ensure you don’t get lost!
The pattern also includes links to all my YouTube videos that demonstrate some basic amigurumi techniques and tips.
