The Luna Wing Shawl is a squishy wrap that doubles as a cozy scarf. Knit completely in brioche, this design features details that allow for a comfortable drape, and give this piece a unique shape. Bold geometric blocks invite the maker to inject their shawl with colorful expression, and to play with illusion and depth in a special way!

Both single and two color brioche are used, giving variety to the knitting experience, while creating beautiful symmetry

German short rows add width to the back, and create a bold triangle in the center of the shawl

I-cord ends and rolled edges give this piece a beautiful finish, and allow it to be knit from end-to-end seamlessly

This shawl was designed using Sugarplum Circus’ Luxe Aran base, however any heavy worsted - aran weight yarn will work beautifully here!
I recommend using a Merino wool, or wool blend

This pattern calls for:
3 x 100g skeins for MC
1 x 100g skein for CC1
1 x 100g skein for CC2
with each skein approximately 190yds/175m per 100g

Most accurately calculated with swatches knit flat, which have been wet blocked somewhat heavily

I recommend using your MC and CC2 for swatching, to maximize available yardage
