Lunar Currents is a pair of fingerless mitts that plays with contrast and symmetry. The cables run in mirrored directions, the colours flip between mitts (and between palm and back) creating a design that moves like a tide, pulled this way and that by some quiet lunar force.
These mitts are quick and fun to knit, adorable to wear and perfect to gift.
Construction
Lunar Currents are worked in the round, starting from the wrist. The hand is decorated with a flowing motif design and has a thumb gusset for comfort. When the needed height is reached, thumbhole sts are placed on waste yarn to complete the palm and then worked seamlessly in the round.
