Lunar Drifts Hat

Now that we are trying to reach Mars, I still remember watching the first steps on the Moon in 1969. It was on a black & white TV in Germany in the middle of the night. My dad had woken me up in the middle of the night to let me watch this historical event.
This pattern reminds me of the lunar surface, which looks very different from what we are used to.

I used 3 lace yarns held together because I have an abundance of DROPS Kid Silk yarn. However, #3/DK yarn with a halo (fuzzy) will work perfectly. I gave some suggestions. You will need about 180 - 230 meters of yarn.

The pattern will fit kids, teens, women, and men.

I included written instructions for each size and working the left and right mitten. I graphed the pattern as well.
The cables are very easy to work and you use the same cable in the whole round, which makes it faster to knit.

I hope you enjoy knitting the Lunar Drifts Mittens as much as I loved designing them. There is also a matching Lunar Drifts Hat Pattern so you can knit the complete set.

If you are interested in knitting both Hat and Mittens I am offering an e-book with both patterns at a discounted price.
