Lunar Glimpse Throw

Embark on a celestial journey with ‘Lunar Glimpse,’ a mesmerizing double-knitted creation that brings the magic of the night sky into your home. This artwork is inspired by a photo taken through my husband’s telescope, which reveals a stunning three-quarter moon in all its luminous glory. Each intricate stitch captures the moon’s craters and contours with breathtaking detail, including the iconic Copernicus Crater, one of the moon’s most prominent features. The detailed stitching mirrors the crater’s rugged beauty as if you’re peering through the lens of a telescope yourself.

Gauge is not essential for this project. I used 5.5mm needles for a more oversized throw as my husband is 6’3” and needed it larger.

This size throw fits the top of a double bed.

I use Red Heart Comfort yarn as it is easy to care for and can be laundered as needed.
