Each finished moon is a disc that is approximately 2 inches in diameter and about 3/4 inch thick.

The full pattern uses 34 yards of Dark Country Blue and 34 yards of Sunshine.

You can play or decorate with the moons separately, or you can turn them into a wall hang. The only limit is your own imagination! Make sure to tag me on instagram with your final moon phases so I can see how awesome they are!

Materials needed:

  • Worsted weight acrylic yarn (yellow and navy). I used Caron Simply Soft in Sunshine (34 yards) and Dark Country Blue (34 yards).
  • Size G crochet hook, 4.00mm
  • Yarn or Tapestry needle
  • Scissors
  • Polyfil stuffing

Stitches/techniques used in this pattern:

  • Magic ring
  • Chain stitch
  • Single crochet
  • Increasing and decreasing
  • Slip stitch
  • Color changing
  • Weaving in ends

This pattern does not include basic “how to crochet” steps. It assumes you know how to make the stitches and use the techniques listed above. However, if you are having trouble with the instructions, please contact me and I can share guides I find useful.
