Lunaria Mitts
Lunaria started as a pair of fingerless gloves but the pattern was too pretty to just leave it at that. A hooded scarf was just the thing! The two patterns are sold as a set through Knit Picks.
The fingerless gloves feature a long ribbed cuff and a traditional side thumb gusset, increased every third row. The gloves are finished with a little more ribbing to prevent curling. The gloves use 7 colors of Palette; 1 ball of each color will be more than enough to finish the gloves.
The pair of projects is named after the flower the Annual Honesty , or Lunaria annua, which has four petals ranging from white to deep purple when in bloom. The seeds are papery, translucent sliver discs in the winter, giving it its other common name in America, “Silver Dollars.”
