Lunch At Tiffany's
This cowl is a tapered fit, meaning the neckline is closer and graduates to a flared fit that will drape over the shoulders nicely.
It is knit flat from the neck edge and eventually joined in the round to avoid too much bulk at the back neck edge.
There is a lacework pattern worked down the center front, with the increases worked into the lace pattern instead of along the center spine, the lacework chart is simple, and easy to memorize. This would be a good simple lace chart for beginner chart readers to navigate!
The pattern was created with a need to showcase some beautiful gradients that are out there, and usually created on a 400m skein. You could do this in a tonal or light speckle. A ‘busy’ yarn may likely not enhance the lace section down the center front.
The gauge is suggested, but try to keep as close as possible to make sure you have enough to complete the cowl.
The yarn I used, is a MCN fingering weight by Wendy’s Wonders. I suggest gradients with good ‘melts’ from one color to the other but certainly, if you want to create your own, or do some blends with some minis, it would work well, too!
