Lunch Monsters - Lunch Bag
These funky monsters love to gobble up packed lunches, keeping them safe until lunch time.
This pattern is written using US terms and includes a chart to convert into UK terms. I have used photographs to help with instructions throughout. A printer friendly version will also be included.
For this pattern, you will be working with UK Chunky yarn (Bulky) and a 6mm hook. You can use 2 strands of DK yarn together instead to achieve the same gauge and even use two different colours for a whacky look.
The finished size will measure approximately 15cm wide 22cm tall by 8cm deep (excluding the handle). This will give plenty of space for a sandwich lunch or even fit a 1litre tupperware box for salads or pastas with space for cutlery too.
You will need:
Chunky or 2 strands of DK yarn in any colours you choose (my main colour used nearly a full 100g/170yards ball of chunky yarn, the length can vary between brands so you my want to get a 2nd ball to be safe)
Black and White yarn for the eyes
A yarn needle and scissors.
2 stitch markers (or scrap yarn)
